Yamaha AES A fruitful relationship with Frank Gambale has resulted in this extremely innovative design. Featuring the Fretwaves tuning system, the 2 piece mahogany, double cutaway body with carved top and the exclusive rear mounted neck and Duncan pick ups make this design truly unique. The AES800 and AES800B both feature a 2 piece alder, single cutaway body with Mahogany cap. The DiMarzio Q100 pick ups and a special 4 pole 5 way pick up selector switch offer a combination of sonic tones never experienced from this style of guitar. The AES500 offers the traditional humnbucker format. Both the AES500 and AES800/800B offer the unique variable phase coil design, which is controlled via the third tone shaping control. The AES 1500 with it’s classy arched top is an exquisite design that successfully addresses rock, country and jazz music genres with equal levels of craftsmanship, sound and playability. The AES1500 offers custom voiced DiMarzio Q100 pick ups controlled by the traditional dual volume and tones controls.

This is a brand new tuning system that enables you to temper tune your guitar. Other intonation tuning systems are complicated and require modifications of the nut location and expensive strobe tuners. The SHOCKWAVE system is so simple yet the results are remarkable. The precisely measured curve in the first 2 frets are the key to this system. The intonation is consistent throughout the entire fingerboard.
